We plant trees in both urban and rural areas. In Urban areas we plant native trees wherever there is space made available to us. In rural areas we work with local farming communities with a special focus on women farmers to plant fruit trees that help increase their incomes and fight malnutrition, aligning to our vision to improve lives of our people and the health of our planet.
At all drives we conduct a short session to communicate theseverity of the climate crisis
Get your hands dirty. We believe when one feels the warmth of mother earth, the touch of the soil brings them closer to nature. It establishes a connection with the most fundamental sources of our creation. Also there is enough scientific evidence to the mental health benefits of such activities.
Our message through these drives is that it doesn't end with this one drive. We want to build this as a movement and want people to engage and get more people involved. We urge them to reach out intheir network, educate them and get them to experience this and further engage with this mission.
We plant trees that are at-least 2 years matured and of very high quality. It increases our cost but the real effectiveness is not the number of saplings we plant but the number of trees we grow.
We use high quality organic compost during plantation
We use the latest technology auger machine for digging that leads to effective plantation
We select communities and localities that have high chances of survival. Farmer lands,parks, near water bodies, partner organisations taking responsibilities.
We have a monitoring process to monitor the trees for next 1 years to ensure they survive and thrive
We continue to learn and adopt best practices to improve survival rates.
